Haute Fashion Icons| The Original Boss Miss Ross

Would all the success of the recent movie Sparkle (which I have yet to see), I was in total awe of the fashion from the Motown Era which inspired me to create the Haute Fashion Icon series. I’ll feature a post on a stars who glamorize and glorify the epitome of fashion in every essence of the word.

The fashion elite would place me in fashion jail if I started this series without presenting anyone other than Miss Diana Ross, herself. She broke barriers and boundaries in not just fashion but high-fashion when it was nearly impossible for a black woman to do so. She’s as graceful, stylish, chic, lady-like and legendary as they come. From Mahogany ,to Lady Sings The Blues, even during her days as a Supremes, she has always dominated the fashion world with her style, wit and charm. Many of your favorite entertainers whom you admire has taken a page, hell a chapter out of her fashion book many a day. If you don’t believe me, be amazed for yourself. In your opinion, which modern day fashionista(s) has been influenced by her style?

Beyonce has admittedly stolen just about everything from Miss Ross. But really who could blame her.

She most certainly has. But nobody does Diana like Diana does Diana, lol.
