Kurt Geiger London Hosts A Night Of ‘San Francisco Style’

main

Kurt Geiger London hosts a night of San Francisco style. Indeed, they did. Quite elegantly, might I add. You would’ve thought they were from San Francisco by the hospitality they provided.

The food and drink menu was British meets San Franciscan inspired, courtesy of Aaron Smith of 15 Romolo/the Bon Vivants and Brass Knuckle. The discussion panel for the event was graced by the likes of San Francisco favorites:

Jon Tower Akerman, SF Community Manager, Yelp
Aaron Smith, Partner, 15 Romolo
Erica Chan-Coffman, Editor in Chief, Honestly…WTF
Jonathon Kauffman, Editor, Tasting Table

There was also a surprise performance by Blackbird Blackbird.

He knows how to wear a suit.

Sara McConnachie the Head of PR from Kurt Geiger London and her friend were gorgeous in their black and white dresses.

(In my best British accent): No you’re more, fabulous. No, you are. You are. Something just tells me that what they were thinking at that very moment.

Both Robert Holness and Sara McConnachie traveled all the way from the London Bridge to the Golden Gate Bridge to attend the event.

Christina Zervanos of LaunchSquad traveled all the way from New York to wine and dine us. She’s truly an asset to their team.

Alan Cooper of LaunchSquad was a total sweetheart and was attentive to the crowd all night.

Sally! I was so happy to see her, you may remember Sally from my first visit to the Kurt Geiger, she gave me a personal tour of Kurt Geiger San Francisco. Infatuated with her ombre oxblood hair.

Mr. Dapper himself Joe, he works in the San Francisco retail store. He is always so kind, stylish and helpful whenever I’m there.

The lovely Staff of Kurt Geiger.

The swag bags on display with the men’s Turnmill boot. The swag bags included an leopard print coin pouch and a $25 gift card. Thanks KG for helping me jump start my fall wardrobe.

Me and My blog date for the evening Deeva of Massive Hawtness. When I think of San Francisco style she instantly comes to mind: bold, daring and distinctive.

Deeva speechless at the art she’s looking at.

Wait, Massive Hawtness I’m working!!!!! Because this was an event that promoted San Francisco style with the hash tag #SFSTYLE I made sure to tweet and send instagram photos of my style and the event throughout the night. Not to mention the

Tweet #SFStyle & Win Contest

There was a contest on social networks  Instagram & Twitter Contest! The participation included following @KurtGeigerSF and tagging #SFStyle on Twitter and Instagram to participate in their #SFStyle Instagram contest. Followers were asked to capture and share what SFStyle means to them, tagging @KurtGeigerSF on Twitter. 10 participants won tickets to the event, an in-store styling session, and 20% off an item of their choice. The grand prize winner was announced at the event, and won an in-store styling session, and an “Everything But The Dress” package of their choosing (shoes, bag, accessory).

What is #SfStyle? San Francisco style to me is fearless, original, indie, different and one of a kind. San Francisco style is as diverse as the Bay Area it’s self.

What am I wearing? Clothes: A fall colored royal blue con dress. A cropped pin stripe denim jacket. A blue python print head scarf, camouflaged as a headwrap, red leather booties. Accessories: Crocodile earrings, semi precious stone ring and kente cloth bangles all hand made by yours truly. I wanted to incorporate the fall mix prints into my wardrobe. How’d I do?

The delicious food I feasted on for the evening was catered by Brass Knuckle

As many of you know I’m a Fashion Merchandising major at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Although, a fashion major taking art and drawing classes is an requirement upon obtaining my degree. Which is a blessing it’s helped me to really see fashion for what it is, the art of the human body, painted by clothes. So, could you have imagined how stoked I was to find out the event was being held at the 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco?  I took some pictures of the art in the gallery. Peep, the candids below.
