2013 Style Challenge

2013stylechallenge.jpg 2013stylechallenge

Each season I try to allow my style to evolve. There are many factors that influence my overall style: mood, occasion, budget, etc.  The challenge I’ve given myself for 2013 to do more with less. Initially, it sounds as if this is a monetary challenge. I’ve already vowed to purchase pieces I can wear at least 3 or more ways. You may remember my previously posts from The UCB Frugal Style Guide on how to wear one item in various ways. I’m actually referring to the overall presentation of my style. I’m aiming for a more sophisticated and elegant style versus cute and chic.

You are probably wondering how I will do that or more importantly why would I? As I’ve matured through the year it reflects within my style. In subtle but significant ways ex: I wear mixed prints, I only wear arm candy on one arm not both, I wear only 2-4 colors at a time (I’ve been known to wear up to 7-8).Also, with all the networking events I’m attending this year my style will speak before I’m even given the opportunity to open my mouth. Is that fair to be judges in such a manner? Is it realistic? Absolutely. Always remember a first impression is a lasting one.

What are your style challenges for 2013?
