Roberto Cavalli’s Slimmed-Down Beyonce Sketch Causes Controversy

World renown designer Roberto Cavalli recently released a sketch of one of the outfits he designed for Beyonce’s tour, “The Mrs. Carter Show”. The sketch shows Beyonce in a colorful print, gold barocco embroidery gown. The beautiful garment isn’t what’s causing an uproar it’s the curveless, slimmed down Beyonce. It appears her curves are no where to be find.

After releasing tons of backlash for the sketch, Cavalli quickly released the following statement, ‘“We would like to clarify that the image of the gown created by Roberto Cavalli for Beyoncé is a sketch and not a photo, and therefore it is only meant to be a stylized and artistic vision,” he said. “Roberto Cavalli loves women and more than anyone else has always exalted and highlighted the female shape with his creations, building his signature style on the glorification of sensuality and femininity.”.

Do you think Roberto Cavalli meant any harm by the sketch?
